About Vista

Vista is a strategic intelligence workspace that aggregates, filters, scores, and presents information about political, economic, security, and commercial developments across Latin America and the Caribbean. It is designed for analysts, investors, compliance officers, and executives who require continuous situational awareness of the region. Vista is produced by Vector Pacífico, an independent research and intelligence firm. The platform is not affiliated with any government, political party, or sovereign entity.

How Vista Works

Vista ingests data from global event databases, primary government and international institution sources, regional news, and live market data. Content passes through a multi-stage filtering and scoring pipeline operated by Miranda, our intelligence engine. Miranda applies source quality rules, geographic validation, actor significance checks, content relevance analysis, and — for items that pass all filters — AI-powered assessment against the original source. Only items that pass Miranda's review are surfaced on Vista.

Data Accuracy & Limitations

Vista is a decision-support tool, not a system of record. Despite extensive filtering and validation, automated event coding from upstream sources can contain errors, misattributions, or miscodings. Miranda's AI assessments are generated by large language models and may contain inaccuracies. Source articles linked from Vista reflect the views and accuracy of their original publishers, not Vector Pacífico. All timestamps, scores, and metrics are provided for reference only. Users should independently verify any information before making decisions that rely on it. Vector Pacífico makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the information displayed on Vista.

Not Investment, Legal, or Professional Advice

Nothing displayed on Vista constitutes investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or any other form of professional counsel. Vista does not provide recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any security, currency, commodity, or financial instrument. Country risk scores, severity ratings, and urgency classifications reflect automated assessments of publicly available data and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any business, investment, political, or operational decision. Users are solely responsible for their own analysis and decisions. Consult qualified professionals before taking action based on information from this platform.

AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Event summaries, country assessments, pattern analyses, and intelligence narratives displayed on Vista are generated by advanced AI language models with editorial oversight. AI-generated content may reflect biases present in training data, produce plausible-sounding but factually incorrect statements (hallucinations), or misinterpret source material. All AI-generated content is based on automated analysis of source articles at the time of assessment and does not reflect human editorial review unless explicitly noted. Users should treat AI-generated summaries as a starting point for further inquiry, not as definitive reporting.

Source Attribution & Copyright

Vista displays links, metadata, and brief excerpts from third-party sources for the purpose of intelligence analysis and situational awareness. All original articles remain the property of their respective publishers. Vector Pacífico does not claim ownership of, or editorial responsibility for, the content of linked source articles. Public-domain government source data is used in accordance with each issuing agency's terms. Users are encouraged to consult original source materials directly.

Coverage Limitations

Vista's coverage is limited to Latin America and the Caribbean, with a focus on business, economic, political, security, and trade developments. Topics outside this scope — including sports, entertainment, domestic U.S. crime, individual immigration enforcement actions, lifestyle content, and routine local news — are intentionally filtered out regardless of their newsworthiness. This filtering is deliberate and reflects the editorial mandate of the platform. Users seeking comprehensive general news coverage should consult other sources. Vista prioritizes precision over recall: we would rather display a smaller number of verified, relevant items than overwhelm users with low-signal content.

Privacy & Data Handling

Vista does not collect personally identifiable information from visitors beyond standard web server logs required for operational security. Vista does not use advertising trackers, behavioral profiling, or cross-site cookies. Source articles linked from Vista are hosted by their original publishers, whose privacy policies apply when users visit those sites. Vector Pacífico retains internal audit logs of Miranda's assessment pipeline for quality assurance and system improvement purposes.

Limitation of Liability

Vector Pacífico, its affiliates, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Vista platform. This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data, reputational harm, or any other commercial damages or losses, even if Vector Pacífico has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Use of Vista is at the user's sole risk. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Compliance & Export Controls

Users accessing Vista are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and export controls in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to U.S. sanctions regulations, EU restrictive measures, and local data protection laws. Vista displays information about sanctioned entities for informational purposes only; inclusion on the platform does not constitute endorsement, validation, or a determination of current sanctions status. Users with compliance obligations should consult official government sources directly.
